Guess what I did!!

Well I've been busy as usual learning new words, names of animals, and of course my basic shapes. As you can see in my video I've already learned the shapes of my magna-doodle stencils. Mommy, Gran-D, and Jimmy have all been helping me learn tons of new stuff, in fact I now know turtles, cats, cars, birds, fish, and even planes! Of course that's not the best news...

Guess who went potty! I did! Twice now! Mommy has been very good about trying to potty train me, and now it seems to be paying off. I'm just in it for the ice cream, which I get as a treat after I go. Next time you see me, I just might be wearing pull ups!



So my days have been mostly full of playing, eating, and napping, but with the weather warming up I've added a new item to my schedule - pool time! After long days waiting for the weather to warm up I finally get to go swimming with Mommy and Gran-D. Gran-D bought me this sweet floaty shaped like a plane which is cool because every time a plane goes over the house I point up in excitement.



Daddy's still doing his thing in San Diego. His old ship (the USS George Washington) is in San Diego for repairs after there was a BIG fire onboard off the coast of Chile. If Daddy were still on that ship he says he would have had to help fight it, since his Damage Control Locker was the first responder for that area. In fact, he says that the place he used to stand watch is completely burnt up now! Crazy. Anyway, he's excited because now he'll have a good month or so to hang out with his old friends from the ship (and they're excited they won't be out to sea for a while)!

Well I'm going to go learn more shapes and things, you guys take it easy!

May Days Update

 

Hello friends and family!

Thought I would give you a quick update and the latest picture of me, and also I wanted to wish a Happy Birthday to Uncle Chad who turned 16 yesterday! Suddenly I know why daddy tells me to look both ways before crossing the street, or even the sidewalk for that matter ;)

Mommy has been working less overtime lately so we've been able to spend more time together. Most of the time its great, but yesterday she took me to the doctor to get some shots. Why do mommy and daddy insist on torturing me?! Actually its not so bad, I'm a tought kid after all.

I'm getting better about saying "thank you", but I still need to work on saying "please". At least that's what mommy says. I don't get why I can't just say "Mine!" and point at what I want, after all everything IS mine.

Daddy still has 2 months left in San Diego and then he'll be back here in Houston. We're going to spend a lot of time together going to parks, the zoo, and maybe even a baseball game - Go Astros! Daddy says I'll have to be on my best behavior or else we won't get to do all those fun things so I'll have to try my best to be a good boy. It's hard to be good all the time, but at least mommy and daddy reward me when I am - that's good motivation.

Well I better wrap this up so the computer doesn't randomly shut down on me and erase the entire blog entry again. When I'm older computers will be so smart I'll just have to think about posting to the blog and *poof*! Until then I have to deal with this primitive nonsense!

Happy Mothers Day!

Happy Mothers Day to mommy, and do Gran-D, and Meemaw (both Meemaws), and to G-ma, and Granny, and all of my favorite mothers! I hope you're all having a great Mothers Day!

Today mommy took me to a park down the street to play. I think she had alternative motives, however, because she seemed to want me to play until I got tired. Come to think of it, when we got back she put me in my crib for a nap! It's a conspiracy! Actually I don't mind naps, I always wake up with tons of new energy!

I hope I've been really good for mommy today, I did try my best even though at lunchtime I got a little moody. I hadn't had a nap yet, so you can't blame a kid can you?

I love my mommy very much and do my best to make life easy for her. She's always telling me how good of a boy I've been... well, not always but often enough! Sometimes mommy and daddy wonder if I'll even have my terrible twos. I think its up to them.. they can either give me what I want or else!

Quick update

 

Hello everyone! I thought I could take a moment out of my busy schedule to update my blog. I penciled it in between playing with my cars and trying to get into cabinets.

I'm still having fun playing with my birthday toys. I've really made good use of the magna-doodles, and it's definitely keeping me from drawing on walls. I also like to play with my toy computer, although today when mommy took it from me to get me in my carseat I hit her with another toy. She didn't like that, and I got in trouble. I tried to explain that it's hard for me to control all these new feelings, and that I didn't mean it. I think she understands.

Speaking of mommy! Mother's day is coming up. I wish I could buy her a gift, but since I'm too young to work in the United States, and China is so far away, I'll just try to be really good for her that day. I'm already really good most of the time, so it shouldn't be too hard to accomplish... as long as she doesn't try to take away my toys! Just kidding.

Daddy is in his second week of his new school and is learning a lot of good information that will help him when he gets back to the fleet. He graduates in July, which means that we'll be seeing him in less than 3 months! I can't wait for us to be together again, we love each other very much.

Oops! I just pooped, gotta go!

Happy Birthday to Me!!!

Birthday Highlights



Hello everyone! Yes, I am two years old! Actually I turned two on the 14th, but I didn't have my party until the 20th so Daddy could be there for it. It was so much fun! There was a pirate ship, tons of good food, cupcakes, and lots of my friends and family to play with. I even got to swim in the big pool with Uncle Freddy!

Daddy thinks that I've gotten SOOO cute! I'm so full of fun and energy, and I love to help my mommy when she asks for it. I'm learning all sorts of new words and can answer questions like "Are you hungry?" or "Are you ready for nite-nite?". He says that the next time he sees me I'll be speaking in full sentences.. whatever that means ;)



I got to see Uncle Nate this weekend too, and his girlfriend Jackie. They got me a Astros jersey for my birthday, and I look really good in it. I got some other really good presents from my party as well, like a magne-doodle which mommy and daddy hope will keep me from drawing on walls and furniture!

I know I'm getting so big, but don't worry! I'll make sure to keep posting pictures and videos when I can. Plus, in only three months a lot of you will be coming to see me for mommy and daddy's wedding. I'm going to look so cute in my little-man suit! I can't wait, I just hope I can stay focused when I'm carrying the ring down the aisle. That's tough work for a two year old!

Where's all the eggs?!"







Well I sure had a lot of fun on Easter Sunday! Meemaw, Gran-D, and mommy were really sneaky and hid a bunch of fake eggs all over the place, and then I had to go find them. I was really surprised to find out that there were treats inside! Mommy thought it was cute how I would put my basket down, go find an egg, open it up to see what was inside, and then put it into my basket. I guess I'm just curious.



Other than hunting for Easter eggs, I've been practicing my vocal skills. The latest word I've learned is "five", and when I say it I hold up my hand. Maybe I know that I have five fingers, but most likely its because people are always asking for high fives and after a while it catches on.

Daddy comes down in a little over 3 weeks and I can't wait! I hope he has an awesome birthday present for me. I'm turning two on April 14th, but according to mommy, I'm not quite in my terrible twos yet. In fact, I've been such a good boy lately. Mommy and daddy are really proud of me. I'm proud of me too ;) plus, maybe this will buy me some bonus points I can use when I'm a teenager.

I really enjoy reading, and sometimes I even try to act out scenes from the stories. Mommy thinks its really cute, usually its because I've seen mommy act it out and I like to act it out with her. I should be reading in no time :)

Hello fans!

Sorry there's no picture today, it's been taking me a while to get a good one taken but I don't want to keep you all waiting! I hope all of you have been well, I'm glad to see you still check my blog. I've been doing tons of stuff and I often forget to update you all!

Yesterday I had fun drawing on my babysitters couch. She must have forgotten about the pen she left in reach. I have fun at daycare, I get to play with lots of different kids. I love it when mommy comes to pick me up though, I miss her all day long!

I like talking to daddy on the phone now. I've learned how to hold the phone up to my ear and talk into the microphone - it looks so cute! I'll just go on and on about my day and how much I miss my daddy. I talk up a storm, but I don't think daddy understands me just yet. I'll keep working on my English.

Other than that it's still things as usual. Mommy told me that daddy is coming down to celebrate my 2nd Birthday! I'm so excited! She also told me that when he graduates from his next school he's going to get to spend an entire month in Houston before we move back to Virginia. I can't wait, me and daddy - excuse me, daddy and I, are going to go everywhere together and have lots and lots of fun. Maybe he'll even take me to Chuck E. Cheese's!
