Tis' the season to B-man

Seasons Greetings!

Don't believe that we just put up the tree, mommy made daddy put it up weeks ago. She loves Christmas so much that she couldn't wait until after Thanksgiving to put up the Christmas decorations.

Thanksgiving was fun. Both of them actually! Daddy had duty on the real Thanksgiving and so mommy and I went over to a neighbors. I got to play with her two boys and the meal was delicious. Then on Saturday we had Thanksgiving as a family. Daddy cooked the turkey in the crockpot rather successfully, although he miscalculated how tall the turkey would be in the pot and had to cover it with foil to keep the moisture from escaping. Eventually the turkey shrank and the lid fit just fine, but daddy was worried there for a minute!

It's been getting much colder and we've been getting much busier! Daddy is six weeks into his semester and is still trying to keep up the pace of four classes. He says that Calculus II isn't kicking his butt as much as it was, but that his mid-terms are coming up and he's a bit worried about getting all of his studying done.

Mommy's still working at Target and doing well. She and I will be going to Houston this week for her cousins wedding so I will get to see family really soon! I'm looking forward to seeing Uncle Freddy and hope that we get lots of time to play.

I'm also trying to be a really good boy to stay on Santa's good list! I asked him to have mommy and daddy leave me alone and let me do whatever I want... I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Anyway, I love you all and hopefully won't be too busy to update again this month!

Surprise visit!

We got a surprise visitor this weekend! Uncle J-Bone is here!

Apparently the Marine's birthday was coming up so Jeff got a 6-DAY WEEKEND! Lucky! He decided to come up with his friend Eric and arrived on Saturday afternoon. After they arrived we went to surprise Christy at her work. She had no idea that Jeff was coming up, so it was really fun to see her face when she saw him!

Since he's been here we've spent time at Mt. Trashmore flying kites, and spending time on the beach. Yesterday we went to Jillian's and I got to play LOTS of fun games. I ended up with over 360 tickets and got a big bouncy ball and a fake snake! I even got to ride a Harley Davidson! G-Pa would be so proud!

Tomorrow Jeff is going back to South Carolina, so to send him off we all went to a Hibachi Grill and then to Cold Stone. I'm really going to miss him, but he's gotta go back to being a Devil Dog sometime.

We're always open to surprise visits so in case anyone wants to just show up, we'd love to see you!!!

Until later!

Beachtober-fest

Who would have figured that October would bring great beach weather? Actually, it was a little cold outside but there was a nice shallow area on the beach where the water was a bit warmer and the wake didn't rush in so fast. I was able to run around for quite a while and have lots of fun playing in the water.

This beach is only a few miles away from the apartment so I'll be able to come back plenty of times. I do like fall and winter but being at the beach sure did make me wish it could be summer again!

Nothing big has changed since I last updated the blog. I started going to a new daycare though. My babysitter is very nice and I have lots of fun there. There's a bunch of toys and kids my age, and we're always playing outside too. So much fun!

Well I wish I could update a bit more but its getting late and I've got to go to bed. I don't want to get cranky for mom and dad!

Take care everyone, I love you!

The Post is Now in Session!

Hello everyone!

I don't know if its the same where you are, but its starting to get cold here. Daddy and I like it! It usually stays in the low 70s now, but its been dipping down into the high 60s sometimes. Yesterday was roughly 72 degrees with clear blue crisp autumn skies.

Recently I've just been hanging out playing with toys and watching Spongebob cartoons. I've been very good for mommy and daddy and so they've been giving me more time to watch cartoons and have been letting me have deserts too (if I eat all the food on my plate of course). Yep.. life is good.

A few weeks ago there was an airshow that the Navy was putting on in Virginia Beach. Since I love planes so much mommy and daddy were going to take me to see it. When we got near the airshow the traffic was so bad we ended up not going. I was sleeping in the car, so I didn't even know where we were going anyway. Instead we went to Mt. Trashmore, which is a local attraction. It's basically an old garbage dump that the city poured tons of fill dirt over creating a massive hill. Then they grew grass on it and now its a place people can climb up and down and fly kites on. It was a lot of fun, I loved running down the hill super-fast!

Here at the new apartment I've been spending many a sunny day playing on the playground right outside the building. Its got a slide and plenty of platforms to climb on, it even has swings but its usually too wet under them because it doesn't drain well after rain. Mommy takes me out there sometimes before my nap to wear me out. It works like a charm.

Well I miss all of you very much and enjoy talking to you on the phone when I get the chance! Take care and I'll talk to you soon!

P.S. Oh yeah! Daddy wanted me to mention that if you want to contribute to my college savings there's a great way to do it by signing up for a free online program called Upromise. Basically its a program that partners with hundreds of stores and restaurants who promise to donate a certain percentage of your purchases to a college savings account. If you want to look into it you can find out more at www.Upromise.com - and if you want to contribute to my 529 plan just email my dad at reddwarfmc@hotmail.com to set that up. Thanks!

Greetings from Virginia

Sorry again about no picture or video. We've been living out of suitcases for a few weeks now so its been hard to find the time to upload any. Pretty soon you can expect a new picture or video, however, because we finally got an apartment.

Obviously I can't just post the address here in full view of the unanimous public, but if you haven't received the new address in an email that my daddy sent out feel free to call or email to get that info.

I don't have a whole lot of time to update (the internet connection at this hotel is finicky at best) so I'll just give you a quick update. Good thing I can type at almost 100 words per minute... and at this age!!!

Ok.. the trip wasn't too bad. We left early in order to circumvent the oncoming onslaught of hurricane Gustav - which wasn't as bad as the media hyped it up to be. We didn't even get any rain until the second day of our trip. We took 59 north through Texarkana and followed the highways through to Little Rock and from there we took I-40 most of the way to Virginia. Daddy was kind enough to set up his laptop up with Spongebob so I would have plenty of entertainment along the way. I was really good the whole trip though, so daddy and mommy were happy to oblige me with plenty of treats (bribes) and entertainment (pacifiers) the whole time.

Since we've been here daddy has checked on-board his new command and has been getting set up there, while mommy and I have been looking for places to live. We finally found one yesterday and signed the lease papers today. We'll move in on Monday - which is quite a relief because even though the hotel we're staying at is really nice (comfortable bed, kitchen, internet, etc.) we're ready to get settled. Plus its hard for daddy to get up to work in the morning without waking me up! Yikes! Sorry mommy!

Well I better go, but before I do I want to say that I'm thankful that the latest hurricane to affect the Texas coast didn't do too much damage or affect any of our family too much. We were crossing our fingers (although we know that usually the media just hypes these things up).

Love you all! I'll keep you posted,

Wedding Pictures are Online!

Sorry I don't have any pictures for this entry. I still look a lot like I did in the last entry, so use your imaginations ;)

Actually, the purpose of this entry isn't about me anyway, I need to get the word out that the wedding pictures are online and available for purchase. The pictures turned out really great! I want so many (but they're not exactly cheap!). I don't even get an allowance yet, so I'm straight out of luck!

Here's the link - enjoy!

Wedding Update!!!

Hello again everyone, I have good news!

Brandon - Wedding Close Up

They finally did it!!!

Introducing Mr & Mrs Matthew Clayton

Mommy and Daddy got married!

Post Ceremony Pics

The wedding was a lot of fun! I got to walk down the aisle with my cousin Sara for the ceremony (I was the ring-bearer). During the ceremony I kept trying to get mommy to hold me. I wasn't too distracting and wasn't being loud or fussy - I just wanted to make sure that no one forgot about me. During the prayer I made sure to get in a prime position between mommy and daddy for photo-ops. Never too young to practice posing for the paparazzi.

Ceremony Prayer

Daddy and I have been really busy all week so I'm sorry I haven't been able to update the blog until now. I hope it wasn't too late. Mommy says that the professional photographer hasn't put the pictures online yet. We're all really excited to see how they turned out. I'm sure any picture with me in it will be golden.

Brandon - Wedding Dancer

I danced like a madman during the reception while mommy and daddy went around to as many tables as possible to mingle. Eventually the dance floor enticed just about everybody (even daddy - crazy!) and we all got out and danced together. No one can quite match my inventive style yet!

Cake-Cutting

Post Cake-Cutting

While mommy and daddy were cutting their cake, I was busy taste testing the groom's cake... you know, quality assurance.

Brandon - Frosting Thief!

The whole night was REALLY fun, and I wish I could show pictures and videos of the whole thing, but I'm still really busy. When the pictures are online I'll make sure to send a link so you can all see them. The photographer worked really hard through the entire ceremony and reception so there should be some really good pictures - and lots of em'!

Until next time! I love you all!
