Now, don't y'all go and spendin' all your money on fancy toys for Christmas. As you can see, it's the simple things in life that keep me happy!

I hope everyone is doing well!! I miss everyone so much, but with the holidays around the corner you know what that means..... visits from me!! I can't wait to see everyone and show you guys all the cool new stuff I've learned. You'll be amazed at how big I've gotten too!! I'm almost as big as Daddy. Well, almost. :)

Sorry it has been a while since I have updated my blog, but we have been terribly busy lately. Mommy and Daddy have been packing up everything including my toys!!!! Thank goodness we had a birthday party today at daycare for one of my friends because I got to walk away with this super sweet balloon. Unfortunately, only a few short hours after these pictures were taken, I stopped to take a rest (on my balloon) and it popped!! :( Oh well, I guess I'll just have to go rummaging through some boxes to find new stuff to play with.

Look what mommy and daddy got to do yesterday! I can't believe they left me at Mrs. Tanika's (my awesome babysitter) so that they could go out to sea for a day on daddy's carrier, the George Washington, to see guns, jets, and lots of other cool stuff. Granted, I had a fun day with Mrs. Tanika, but man I sure wish that I could have been there.

Other than that, mommy and daddy are getting ready to move. They plan on leaving November 3rd, so they are packing as much as they can before daddy goes underway for the last time next Monday. I'm looking forward to the trip, because I will get to see a lot of family during Thanksgiving and then Christmas.

Well, I have to go because its getting late and I'm starting to get a little more vocal when I'm tired. I love and miss all of you, take care!

Hello again!

Hello everyone!

I should update you on a few things you may not know already. Not only have I learned to give kisses on demand, lock doors (especially when I'm in the room alone), and lie down on my own to get my diaper changed, but now I know what the number 2 is! At least on my fingers. Mommy will say "two" and I'll hold up my two fingers and say "Dee!"

She loves it. Daddy wishes he could see it, but he's out to sea right now. Mommy sent him some pictures of me over email, and he was very glad he could receive them while he was underway.

Mommy is still holding the fort back at home. She is still waitressing at Red Lobster, and it's mostly good but sometimes people don't tip her well. I told her to show them a picture of me and she's bound to get great tips but I guess she wants to do things her own way.

Anyway, I have a lot of new learning to do today so I better go! I love you all and miss you!

Peek-A-Boo!

Hello family! Hello adoring fans! I'm back with another blog entry!!

August was crazy with lots of traveling and family to see, so I apologize for only having one entry. This month I promise at least three. After all, there's so much that I'm learning and doing it would be just wrong not to update.

Most recently I have started running everywhere, although daddy thinks it looks more like akward stomping at this point. He just doesn't remember how hard it was. He's really happy about how well I throw the ball now. All he has to say is "Brandon, go get the ball!" and I know what time it is!

One of my favorite things to do is help mommy with the laundry. Since I'm at just the right level to put wet clothes in the drier, she just hands them down to me and I will make sure they all go in. I'll even close the door! Daddy says its called 'child labor' or something, and that mommy should be careful, but she doesn't seem to be worried. Just kidding ;)

Well, hopefully daddy will know where he's going next by winter. He thinks there's a good chance he'll have to go to San Diego for another "A" School. We all hope we get to stay there, we love San Diego. There are still plans for going back to Texas for Thanksgiving, and hopefully to go up to Utah for Christmas/New Years.. we'll see.

P.S. A happy belated birthday goes out to Aunt Heather, and Grandma Clayton! Oh.. and daddy too, I guess ;)

So, as most of you know I have been vacationing for the past couple of weeks. So needless to say I have been pretty busy. Uncle J-Bone graduated from Marine Boot-Camp recently. I am so proud of him and I missed him so much. He has gotten so much stronger since he had been training the past three months. What I am getting at is, that he can throw me so much higher in the air now!! Weeeeeee! These shots were taken at G-ma and G-pa's place. I had so much fun digging through rocks and swatting at flies and of course eating more than my body weight in food. I loved it when G-pa would rub his mustache whiskers in my hand and when G-ma would give me lots of sweet kisses. I'm so glad I got to see them. Then I made my way To Gran-D's casa. Did I mention she has stairs? She had lots of fun toys for me and she let me play in her curlers. I stayed with Mee-maw for a couple of days. Boy did she have lots of good stuff at her house (none of which I was supposed to play with).

By the time I get back I am going to be good and spoiled! Here I come Mommy and Daddy. Love you all very much.

Me and Dad just hangin' out!

I love playing with Daddy!! He's so much fun. We play every night, usually immediately after I eat. My poor little tummy. :)In just a few more days i am going to visit family. I can't wait!!! That's so many people to play with. I hope they can flip me around like Daddy does. Well Daddy will be home soon so I have to go rest up so we can play hard. See you later alligators.

Hello everybody!

I hope you are all doing as well as I am. I had a yeast infection and the sniffles for a while but now that's all taken care of. Mommy thought the yeast infection was a rash at first, but the rash creams weren't working at all, so then the doctor said it was a yeast infection.

I'm getting really close to running. Right now all I do is kinda lean forward and stomp my feet against the floor. I try to run from daddy when he's trying to tickle me. I like to be tickled though! Sometimes I move mommy or daddy's hands to my feet or my legs so they'll tickle me.

I've been doing something bad lately, and this morning it reached its worst. I pulled my diaper off while I was in my crib and pooped everywhere. Of course I didn't mind, and so it wasn't until I had rolled around in it and got it into everything that I started calling for mommy and daddy. They were really tired and it took a lot of time to clean! (Excellent)

Well, that's all for now. I'm going to go get on my faithful dragon and fly off into some adventure. Don't worry, he doesn't bite - unless I want him to!

Hooray Dad!

Phew! Thank goodness daddy's schedule is back to normal. I was getting worried the blog may never get updated again! Anyway, I got a haircut yesterday - yep, still a mo-hawk! Today I took 2 naps which gave daddy a chance to clean up the house while mommy was at work.

I have become quite the conversationalist, although it is much more difficult to talk than to type obviously. I have fully mastered "Dada" and "Mama" as well as "Nana" which daddy thinks could either mean "No! No!" (cuz I hear that a lot) or "Nite Nite". I'm sure I'll be speaking quite fluently by the end of the year.

I can't wait to see my Uncle Jeff when he gets out of boot camp in August!!! I'm so proud of him, although as I recall I did teach him everything he knows - so I'll just go ahead and take credit for how good he's done. I will get to see so much family while I'm there I don't know HOW I'll manage to stay un-spoiled. Mommy and daddy are gonna have a hard time with me after that, I'm sure! Still, where's the fun in life if grandparent's can't spoil their grandchildren?



Well, I gotta search through this mess to find something to bust out of here with! If only I had a toy hacksaw or blowtorch I'd be home free!

HEY... where's the picture?!

Ok, I know you must all be terribly worried - but yes I am still updating. Daddy is really busy with work, he tells me that his ship is busy getting things done so they can leave the shipyard in time - so now he's working 25 on / 23 off. I think that may have something to do with why the blog hasn't been getting updated.

**COUGH COUGH - Mommy**

Excuse me! I must have something in my throat. Maybe its some left over hotdog, or some fruit, or some cherios, or some vienna sausage.. I have so much to eat for every meal it could be anything. Mommy says that me eating so much means I'm growing. Daddy says its because I take after him and that I should enjoy my metabolism while I still have it. I don't know what that means, but daddy says a lot of gibberish so I usually just ignore him.

Well, I'm gonna go play some more and then work on my running. Right now I just kind of wobble and shake when I run. I still go really fast though! (Ask mommy or daddy)

So check out my two new teeth!! They make biting Mommy and Daddy so much easier, and so much more fun!! Wow, I just keep growing and getting new teeth and abilities. Walkin' Foo!

Walking? Yeah, I'm really good at it. I've just recently decided that walking will be my primary mode of transportation. It's much faster, easier on my knees, and gets me into tons of new places I shouldn't get into.

That's all pretty exciting, but not the most exciting thing thats happened this month. In case you haven't heard.... Mommy and Daddy are getting married!! Daddy surprised Mommy last Friday with a dinner cruise and popped the question!

I'm going to be the cutest ring-bearer there ever was! Its just a shame that I'll have to get rid of this mow hawk I've been sporting for the past few days. Aahh.. the life of a rock star.

URGENT NEWS UPDATE!!

I'M A WALKER NOW!!!



Just moments ago, while daddy was playing one of his video games, he witnessed as I casually took about 4 steps away from the chair he was sitting in. Shocked and surprised he began coaxing me into more and more attempts, eventually resulting to bribery as he had me walk for one of my biscuit treats. Luckily he got it on camera too!

Mommy's at work, like usual, but he called to relay the good news. She can see the video when she gets home!

Well that's all I have time to update, I will be holding a press conference at about 5:15pm Eastern time if you have any questions. ;p

So Many Toys! So Little Time!!

I have so many toys the living room floor is hardly visible when they're all out. There's toys in my toy box I've never even seen before! One of the perks of being the only grandson on both sides of the family. Yeah. Life is good.

I'm soooo close to walking! Today daddy saw me stand up and take a step on my own. He was tricking me by holding a toy just close enough that I needed to stand, and then pulling it just far enough away that I had to step to it. I soon realized that he was trying to pull something on me and sat down. It's still scary to walk! That's a long way down for a little guy like me.

There's not much news to report today. Lets see... I'm still the cutest baby in existence... everything's the same with mommy and daddy... yeah, everything seems to be just like usual. Well, I'll post when something comes up. Maybe with video of my first few steps?!

Mommy and Daddy say I look so grown up now! I'm thinking about asking for the car keys.. maybe that's pushing it. I'm sure I'll at least have to start walking first.

I have a new babysitter who's really nice. She has a 2 year old son who can't wait to help me start walking. He's excited because all she watches are girls right now, and he wants to play with someone who likes car toys and stuff. My new babysitter said she's going to get me a fish I can name so we can add it to her fish tank. All the new children get to name a new fish when they start daycare there. Cute girls my age, plenty of fun activities, AND I get to name my own fish?! What more could you ask for?

..I think I'll name it MHAAAA!

Daddy checked into the USS George Washington on Friday, and he's excited to get back into the swing of things. He found out that his ship goes out on deployment in April 2008 and will end up in Japan when its over. I can't wait. I'm going to learn secret ninja techniques so I can be extra sneaky around the house when I'm getting into cabinets and stuff. They won't stand a chance!

Don't worry! I'm still posting!

Ok, I know you were all getting worried that I wasn't posting blogs anymore. Really I was just building suspense for my next post to keep you wanting more. It's a trick they use in the entertainment biz.. figured I'd give it a try! Its cruel I know, but it keeps the ratings up.



A lot has happened since April 8th. I had my birthday, although we didn't do too much for it because we had one with Heather and we're having another one in a few days with Christy's family. They fly in tomorrow, GranD, Meemaw, Jimmy, and Uncle J-bone. We're gonna have a lot of fun going to the zoo and a baseball game, and of course I'm going to LOVE all the attention. I wonder how long it will take for mommy and daddy to 'undo' the spoiling? Months? Years?

Mommy saw me take a step from the sofa to the ottoman on my own. She was really happy and can't wait for me to do it again! I went to the doctor last week and he told me I'm just a little taller than average and as healthy as ever! Then he gave me some shots.. I didn't like that. What a meanie!

Oh! I had a great idea today (as usual). I understand that I have many.. many many avid readers. I want to start an email list so that you can all be updated when I post a new entry! Happy Easter Everyone!

Daddy got some lizards this week, and they look crazy! He built this big cage for them and they have a lot of spots to hide and climb, and they're really fun to watch. This is an exiting day for me, because it's my last Sunday as a uh... non-year old. Yeah, or something like that. From now on, I can say I'm 1 years old instead of counting months on my fingers and toes. Yep.. lots more responsibility now. It's not easy getting old.

Easter has been fun! I got some plastic eggs this morning when I woke up, and I loved playing with them. I also got a new book called "Quack Quack" that has a duck on the front. The best part is that I can feel the duck because it has feathers and everything. It feels really soft!

Daddy just said mommy is coming home! That's good, because we are going to have a small pre-birthday birthday while Aunt Heather is here - and daddy's HUNGRY! Guess I'll have to wrap this up. Well, I love you guys. Keep checking the blog!!!

Spring is here!

Spring is here!! I have been going outside a lot and playing in the grass and its been a lot of fun. I mostly try to pull out the grass and eat it, but mommy and daddy stop me before I can get it in my mouth. Sometimes >;)

I've become quite the talkative little boy - and loud! I'm starting to learn new sounds and levels of volume all the time! I'm also starting to understand what "Mama" means. It means that whenever I'm sad or need a hug, all I have to do is say "Mama" and I get what I want! How great!

I'm really close to walking now, and mommy and daddy are still hoping I'll start walking by my birthday. I can't wait to see Gran-D and Meemaw when they come up soon. Mommy says I'm going to get my first haircut then, daddy says I'm getting a mowhawk. Mommy says she'll kill daddy.

Well, my cartoons are on so I'm going to have to let y'all go, after all I have my priorities. J/k! Love you guys! Bye-bye!

B-man Update

Oh boy, have I been cranky today! Mostly I'm sweet and full of smiles, but lately I've begun exploring this new form of expression mommy and daddy call "tantrums". They don't seem to like them much! Sometimes when they take something from me that I'm not supposed to have I make loud noises and clinch my hands - it's just my way of saying "Hey! Don't you remember I'M in charge?!"

Mommy's still bringing in lots 'a loot from Red Lobster. She's always getting compliments from her tables and she's made a lot of good friends. Daddy's been busy now working from home for some extra money. He's working on getting his real estate license, but until then he'll work as an "unlicensed assistant" with a realtor he knows. He won't make as much money as being licensed, but it's all just extra anyway.

I'm starting to feel much more comfortable standing by myself, but I'm not quite ready to walk. Mommy and daddy try to teach me everyday, so I'm getting a lot of good practice. They hope I'll be able to walk to my first piece of birthday cake, but they know I'll probably crawl - cuz that's MUCH faster!

Well, I'm gonna go take a nap. All this typing has made me tired, and I haven't had a nap yet. I hope I get to see or hear from you soon, bye-bye!

Guess who's almost 11! (months)

Wow, I can't believe I'm almost a year old! I need to pick it up if I'm going to start walking by then. I'm real close, but I guess I need more motivation!

Daddy has been trying to get a good close up of my tooth, but I don't make it easy! In fact, he's had such a hard time getting a good picture of me he's just about given up. I'll give him a good one soon, for now I thought I would put up a classic to remind all of you how cute and precious I was when I was a brand new baby.

Yesterday I went back to the doctor, and he told me my ears look just fine! That means I am in the clear - back to 100% healthy me. As soon as the weather gets warmer I want to go out to the zoo, to the park.. I want to do tons of stuff! I just have to wait until the weather gets a little warmer, or else I could get a fever again.

Well, daddy's starting to sound fussy - I better put him to bed, he's such a whiner before bed. Take care everyone!

Wow has it been a long time!

Sorry my avid fans, I should have been updating more frequently but I've been busy!

Mommy is still working at Red Lobster, and she's making Big Bucks! She's working a lot still, and I miss her when she's gone, but me and Daddy get to play while she's gone.

I've been real busy learning how to walk lately! Daddy will let me hold on to his hands and I'll just go wherever I want to go. Also, even though I'm not too confident yet, I'm able to stand on my own for a good 3-5 seconds. Once I realize that I'm standing I cautiously sit back down.. It's scary up there! Still, it's gonna be even scarier for Mommy and Daddy when I do start walking and standing - they're running out of places to hide the breakables ;)

Hopefully Daddy's mom and dad and my uncle can come see me for my birthday. My Aunt Heather is coming down during spring break, and we're all really excited.

Daddy is having a guy look at the motor of his sailboat on Monday to get it working just like new. We can't wait to go out sailing again soon, especially me! We just have to wait a while until the weather gets warmer and then its anchors away!

As soon as I figure out this spoon... Oh! There you go! The stubby side goes in the mouth, go figure.

While I had a heaping bowl of chicken soup and oatmeal, daddy is stuck with eating frozen chimichangas and toquitos to stay alive. Now that mommy is working they don't cook big meals together every night - so daddy's basically hopeless. So much for keeping up his girlish figure.

I got to be babysat today by my new babysitter. She has a little girl just a month older than, we played a lot while I was there. I feel embarrassed because the oatmeal I've been eating now has been giving me gas, and it was stinky. That's ok, I finished the last of it tonight and am going back on rice cereal. Mommy and daddy can't wait.

I'm gonna go chew on the spoon some more and think of ingenious new posts to make. Adios mi amigos!

It's fun to stay at the Y-M-C-A! (except for mommy and daddy!)

Today was fun! Mommy took me to the mall while she looked for new comfortable work pants, and daddy was able to come home early from work to spend time with me. After my afternoon nap, we all went to the YMCA. Mommy and daddy worked out and I played in the childcare room. Usually I just keep to myself and wander around until they come back to get me. When they came back they looked like they could use a nap.

Tomorrow I may meet my new babysitter, boy is she lucky! She will be able to watch me any time that daddy can't, and she's raised three boys who are all in the military - so she understands that daddy's schedule isn't always predictable.

Mommy was really mean to daddy all day today, she really sets a bad example for me. I learned that hitting daddy in the face can be very fun and should be repeated often! Yay! J/k, mommy is nice to daddy. They love each other very much, just like I do!

I heart Bathtime

So today was a typical Monday for me, wake up, make loud noises until mommy comes to get me, poop, eat a little, make more loud noises, get into stuff, poop, etc. Mommy went to work at 4pm (she started this new job at Red Lobster) so she didn't get to see me before I went to bed. Don't tell her, but daddy let me stay up past 9. It was great.

Daddy was talking to Grandpa Clayton about them coming down for my birthday - I sure hope they can make it. We may go to Houston, but that all depends on how things go with daddy's work.

Well, I don't have much more to say, I think I'll go scare daddy by putting more stuff in my mouth. Take care, everybody!

No more fever!

Hello again,

So my fever is gone! I know that not everyone is aware that I've been a little sick this last week, so I'll fill you in. I had been having trouble sleeping and eating because of my stuffy nose, and when my mommy and daddy checked my temperature it was over 100. They used this ear thing that takes the temperature of my ears - I hated it at first. Maybe it just tickled or something.

Anyway, we went to the doctor Friday the 2nd and the nice lady there told me I had an infection in my poor little ear, and the other ear looked a little red too. She said that I would need to take Amoxycillin for ten days to get better. That stuff is great, it tastes awesome!

So I woke up this morning feeling like a million bucks, mommy came in and gave me a bottle hoping I would go back to sleep because it was 5:30 a.m. or something. She looked cranky. When I finally woke up again at around 8:30 a.m. daddy took my temperature and it was back down to normal! That was of course after he changed my stinkiest diaper ever. I was proud, he looked nauseous. Then I had applesause.

Daddy tried taking pictures of me so I could put them on my blog, but I didn't feel like giving him any good ones. I think he's just trying to get me used to cameras now, so in the future the papparazi won't bother me so much.

Well, I'll see you later, I've got stuff to put in my mouth and diapers to fill. It's a full time job turning mommy and daddy into parents.

As most of you know already my name is Brandon Scott Clayton, but my friends call me B-man. I'm currently 9 1/2 months old, and although my vocal abilities are not quite yet up to par, my ability to type just comes naturally (as well as my extended vocabulary). Guess that's just some of the perks for having an awesomely intelligent and witty father - good genes. I guess I should also mention how incredibly cute I am. Yeah, not to brag or anything, but I put the Gerber Baby to utter shame. Guess that's just some of the perks of having a mother so pretty and kind. Oh yeah, I'm a little charmer as well. Naturally.
